Patient ~~~ Geduld

I was just reading in a book where it talks about: Fighting against time:
Still, it is not easy to wait for God's solution. We tend to become impatient and childish when things don't happen when we want them to. We feel stretched, discouraged, frustrated, and sometimes ready to give up. We respond in a number of ways. Some people feel a desperate need for immediate relief in a painful crisis. Others believe that God will bring instant deliverance if they have enough faith. Some people feel out of control when they can't speed things up. Still others tend to be impulsive and cannot tolerate any frustration in getting what they need.
As difficult as it may be to wait on God's process, we can know that he is working behind the scenes even when you can't see anything happening.
Mark 4:26-29
This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain-first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.
There is another bible scripture I like very much, it is in James 5 and it talks about a farmer who waits patiently for the land.

James 5: 7-8

Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.

The book has the title: What to do When You don't know what to do by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend

Ich lese gerade ein Buch, wo darueber geschrieben wird, ueber: Der Kamp gegen Zeit:

Es ist nicht einfach auf Gottes Loesung zu warten. Wir neigen dazu, ungeduldig zu werden wenn Dinge nicht so passieren, wie wir sie moechten. Wir sind entmutigt, herausgefordert, frustriert und oft wollen wir aufgeben. Wir reagieren auf unterschiedliche Weise. Manche Leute fuehlen eine hoffnungslose Not fuer sofortige Entlastung in schmerzhaften Krisensituationen. Andere glauben, dass Gott eine schnelle Befreiung schenckt, wenn sie nur genuegend glauben. Einige Leute fuehlen dass sie keine Kontrolle haben, wenn sie die Dinge nicht beschleunigen koennen.

Es erscheint schwierig auf Gottes Prozess zu warten, aber wir koennen sicher sein, dass er am Arbeiten ist auch wenn wir nichts sehen koennen.

Mark 4:26-29

Und er sprach: Mit dem Reich Gottes ist es so, wie wenn ein Mensch Samen aufs Land wirft
und schläft und aufsteht, Nacht und Tag; und der Same geht auf und wächst - er weiß nicht, wie. Denn von selbst bringt die Erde Frucht, zuerst den Halm, danach die Ähre, danach den vollen Weizen in der Ähre. Wenn sie aber die Frucht gebracht hat, so schickt er alsbald die Sichel hin; denn die Ernte ist da.

Jakobus 5:7-8

So seid nun geduldig, liebe Brüder, bis zum Kommen des Herrn. Siehe, der Bauer wartet auf die kostbare Frucht der Erde und ist dabei geduldig, bis sie empfange den Frühregen und Spätregen. Seid auch ihr geduldig und stärkt eure Herzen; denn das Kommen des Herrn ist nahe.
