Montélimar is widely regarded as the world capital of nougat. The local nougat is one of the 13 desserts of Provence and highly appreciated throughout the country. Montelimar nougat is mentioned in the opening lines of the Beatles' "Savoy Truffle." Travellers used to buy nougat de Montélimar on their way to the south of France (or when returning).

Montélimar ist eine Stadt im Département Drôme (Region Rhône-Alpes) in Frankreich. Sie liegt am Rande der Provence im Rhônetal zwischen Valence und Orange. 2005 hatte Montélimar 33.181 Einwohner. Die Einwohner bezeichnen sich als Montiliens. Montélimar gilt als Hauptstadt des Nougat.

I saw a beautiful peacock, who really showed off. Gods creation is so wonderful. The feathers are so colourful and they look like a fan and they go together so elegant.
Ich sah einen wunderschoenen Pfau, der seine Federn gezeigt hat. Wenn man ihn so anschaut, dann sieht man Gottes Schoepfung. Die Federn sind so farbenpraechtig, sie gehen wie ein Faecher auseinander und falten dann wieder elegant und geschmeidig zusammen.
