Devotions to lead

Just some thoughts to share. I will be leading Devotions next Wednesday, the Bible scripture: John 11, 25: Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life.” ….
Some thoughts are taken out of the book: The Return of the Prodigal Son by Henri Nouwen
There is no resurrection without death on the cross. The cross for me means to surrender, to give Him everything, to let Jesus sit on the throne of my heart. If there is doubt in my heart that I am not worth finding and put myself down, I cannot be found. Without trust I cannot let myself be found. I have to take a leap of faith and trust him that He accepts me, He loves me and I don’t need to pretent to be somebody else, I can be myself. It is hard to fully accept it… the world is full of comparison: grades, scores, statistics, I always try (consciously or unconsciously) to take my measure against all the others.
Am I willing to kneel and to be touched? Am I willing to be forgiven and to experience the healing presence of the father who loves me beyond compare? God doesn’t compare. Never.
Trust HIM, He died for you, and rejoice because He rose again, so we can have life in HIM.
