Indian evening with worship and good food

What have we been doing for the last 2 weeks. We were very busy with out Placement from the 8th – 21st February.
It is part of our training at IMC to join a local church for 3 weeks. We had the privilege to shadow Pastor John for the last 2 weeks. Finale church service will be this Sunday. Were we will give a talk about Guinea and what we will be doing there.

We were invited to an Indian Thanksgiving Party. Two families share a house together and they were just thankful that their Visa was granted. Because Pastor John and his family had just faced the same situation and I guess because they knew we were with Pastor John, we also were invited.
It was very interesting that they held a Party for God, with a worship time and prayer and also food. Fascinating for me was that for them it was all worship, not only what we would probably call our ‘worship time / spiritual time’; also to be together and have fellowship was just being part of their normal life. They sung in their mother tongue Urdu / Punjabi.
We watched most of the evening Indian TV which wasn't so fun, but taking a lot of pictures was.

At the end of the evening after we have received all this hospitality and sharing they gave us a present and a card for our anniversary, this was a very, very humbling experience. Also they called us the next day to wish again a happy anniversary.
