Our daily walk to the shower and toilets ~~~ Unsere taeglicher Weg zur Dusche und Toilette

The school was built around 1970. This tells you something about the state it is in. Toiletts and showers are shared and found on the corridor. This is our little walk to the shower (first two doors) and toiletts (last two doors). We share these showers and toiletts with approx 10 people.
Because of living on the Caribbean Mercy, I am quite used to different showers with not less space, but I think these showers and toiletts are the least spaces once.
Hopefully you can see on the pictures how less room it gives us. When we open the door to the toilets I have to step to the side of the toilet in order to close the door behind me.

Have you ever been to public swimming pools where you have to press the button for the shower every minute? My first time I took a shower I actually counted, it lasted 10 seconds. Can you imagine every 10 seconds you have to press the button. There is nothing going on with a long nice warm shower. Becaues usually the water gets cold again after it stopped running.

Die Schule, wurde so um die 1970 gebaut, kannst dir vorstellen, wie es aussieht. Ziemlich alt und heruntergelassen. Ist fast wie auf der Caribbean Mercy, kleine Duschen, mit wenig Bewegungsfreiheit. Kannst du auf den Bildern sehen wie wenig Platz wir haben? Wenn ich die Toiletten Tuer oeffne, dann muss ich mich neben die Toilette stellen, um die Tuere zumachen zu koennen.
Ihr ward bestimmt schon in einem Schwimmbad, wo man in den oeffentlichen Duschraeumen den Knopf alle Minute druecken muss. Wenn ich das erste Mal geduscht habe, habe ich gezaehlt: Der Knopf muss man alle 10 Sekunden gedrueckt werden :-) Da ist nichts drinnen mit langen warmen Duschen. Weil wenn man den Knopf nicht staendig drueckt kuehlt das Wasser sehr schnell ab.
