First visit to the local market

We went with our colleague, who is actually a pastor for two days away, up in the mountains. It was so good to be out in a village, to walk around and to actually buy something. Our first time, in the capital, we wanted to buy a Coke and we asked where the nearest shop is. One of the men in the orphanage said: "I need to come with you." We literally walked out of the gate, across the road and there it was. It wasn't even a 1 Minute walk. Next time we decided to go by ourselves.
I always wanted to go to a local market, but the area we live in, I had no idea which direction I would find one. Driving to church on Sunday, I suddenly saw one. We memorised the way. So we went today, on our own, walked for approx 20 minutes there and back, and I could buy some vegetables to make our 'traditional' dinner we had in Guinea all the time: Cabbage with tomato and onions.
Oh, it was lovely: to walk and to eat.
