My I introduce you today to a boy from the orphanage. His name is
Schneider, I have seen his name written in so many different ways, so not quite
sure how to really spell it. Here our story with him:
We were sat outside our room at the orphanage reading a
Kreyol book, behind us is the boy's dormitory. After a while we heard a voice
singing through a mosquito netted window, we recognized the voice to be that of
a five year old Schneider. We continued to read listening to him sing
"Jesus loves me and Thank you Lord" with the occasional
"Hallelujah". We were reminded of how strong a child's faith can be and when we get older how much we put in the way of praising Him. Pure innocent
praising.
The other day in the morning I asked him: “Have you slept
well?” His answer was: “Yes, because Jesus is always with me and he is watching
over me.”
Also, I often take him on my lap and sit with him. Before
the storm Isaac was expected he pointed at the big massive dark clouds and said:
“Jesus lives in the clouds”. I guess what he meant was that we don’t have to be
afraid, because Jesus made the heaven and earth and he looks down from heaven.
This reminded me of this verse:
With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless. Psalm 8:2 CEV
With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless. Psalm 8:2 CEV
I admire that little one for his faith, he just believes it –
doubt does not exist in his vocabulary. Just listening to him encourages me every
time and lifts my spirit. Hope it encourages you as well. Enjoy your day!
