Teaching nurses

I guess you all know that I am a very practical person, and it helps me to learn through experiment and involvement. So I do that with the nurses as well.

The one lesson was about: different methods of water purification. I prepared 5 different bottles, there was only bottle they could see it was dirty. But the other 4, they had to inspect it: smell and colour, NO taste. I used: rain water, Culligan water which we buy and it is safe to drink, bleached tap water and another bottle with rain water with a few bites of particles in it.

Every group wrote down their thoughts and ideas
That is 'my' translator, who does a wonderful job.
Here I filter some water.

After teaching 3 lessons, I prepared a test for them in French.  It took me almost all Friday. The time to write the test was scheduled from 9-10 am Monday morning. But many didn't show up until 9.30, so I gave them time until 10.30. But one lady showed up at 10, so she had only 30 minutes. Fair play to her, she did quite good. When I came home it took me two hours to correct all the tests. To my question: 'When do I need to wash my hands?' One girl wrote: After I use my cellphone.
How hilarious  because they use their cellphones so often. Next time they use it in class -  I make them go wash their hands :-)

Below: The one picture isn't very sharp, but I still thought I put it in, because on the other one you can't really see what I am doing. But the bag with water was  clear, and after I poured some brown stuff in it, it changed colour. This demonstrates when somebody has diarrhoea. They all ask me what I put in to give it the colour, I thought that was quite funny. Not that it matters.
