The Anastasis leaves for her last voyage ~~~ Die Anastasis geht auf ihre letzte Reise

Lately I sit on the deck of the new ship the AFM and I think about, what for a blessing it is to be here in West Africa, looking at the ocean and enjoying the sunset. The hand of the living GOD is painting every sunrise and sunset FOR US! Gods’ creation is SO beautiful!
Kürzlich saß ich an Deck von dem neuen Schiff die AFM und ich dachte so daran, welcher Segen es doch ist, hier in Afrika sein zu dürfen, und dem Sonnenuntergang zuzusehen. Die Hand Gottes zeichnet jeden Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang FÜR UNS! Gottes Schöpfung ist so einzigartig!

What happened lately? Was passierte so die letzten paar Wochen?

BIG MOVE: Everything has to move from the ANA to the AFM:
The Crew moved on the AFM in a very short time. Not even did we move our personal stuff, we also moved EVERY department! Buh, this was a lot of hard work, but everybody worked together. Even though it is already rainy session, the Lord held the rain back so we could carry all the boxes back and forth without getting to wet.

GROSSUMZUG: Fast alles musste mit umgezogen werden von der ANA auf die AFM: Die ganze Besatzung zog in einer schnellen Zeit auf die AFM. Nicht nur mussten wir alle unsere persönlichen Sachen packen, wir packten auch JEDES Büro! Buh, das war eine Menge harte Arbeit, aber wir haben alle zusammen geholfen! Regenzeit hatte eigentlich schon angefangen, aber der Herr hat den Regen solange zurück gehalten, bis wir alle Kartone, Möbel usw. zwischen den Schiffen herumgetragen hatten.

Friday 29th June 2007, at around 10 am, scheduled on time, the Anastasis left Freeport to make its way to India. After 25 years service, the Anastasis will be taken apart in the scrap yard in India. Eternity will tell how many peoples life got touched, changed, healed, saved and found hope again. Even though I have not lived on the ANA for long time, only 9 months, it was sad to see her take off. It was the second ship, I had to leave, first the Caribbean Mercy and now the Anastasis.

Freitag, 29der Juni 2007, so gegen 10 Uhr morgens, die Anastasis verlässt den Hafen von Liberia, um sich auf ihre letzte Schifffahrt, nach Indien, zu begeben. Nach 25 Jahren Dienstzeit, wird sie dort verschrottet. Ewigkeit wird zeigen, wie viele Menschenleben berührt, geheilt (Herz und Leib), verändert, gerettet und neue Hoffnung gefunden haben. Auch wenn ich nicht lange auf der ANA gelebt habe, nur 9 Monate, war es traurig, sie gehen zu sehen. Es ist nun schon das zweite Schiff, das ich verlassen musste, als erstes die Caribbean Mercy und nun die Anastasis.

Sara’s babies are doing very well. We are so proud of her! On Friday they were 4 weeks old.
Sarah’s Babies sind wohlauf. Wir sind sehr stolz auf sie! Am Freitag wurden die Häschen 4 Wochen alt.

Are animals actually allowed on the ship??? Yes, but just for a PowerPoint Presentation ;-)
I am talking in front of maybe 100 people about my job: Women Empowerment. After the presentation people look at the white baby rabbit I brought in a basket on the ship :-)

Sind Tiere eigentlich erlaubt auf dem Schiff??? Ja, aber nur zu einer PowerPoint Präsentation. Hier spreche ich vor ungefähr 100 Leuten über meine Arbeit. Nach der Präsentation haben sich die Leute um das Häschen geschart, das ich in einem kleinen Körbchen dabei hatte :-)
