Does it seem there are never enough hours in a day?

Does it seem there are never enough hours in a day? That time flies.
David writes in Psalm 90,4: For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.
Lately I find myself in situations were I think: Where did the day go? I still have sooooo much to do and it is already time to go to bed. I just have done half of my things I wanted to do. Question I ask myself: Am I trying to pack too much into my day….

Ok, there are things which have to be done: taking the train every day (takes 2 hours away of my day), having long days at school – until we are coming home it is often 5pm and then we have to cook, wash up and often it is 8 o’clock were we sit down. This is probably how your day looks like every day, isn’t it? In the evening we still have to learn and do our homework. Then we go to bed and sleep, and often we wake up tired. Or sometimes I wake up in the night, and my mind is just spinning and going and I can’t fall back asleep.

I started to ask God what I can change, so probably 2 weeks ago I decided I need to discipline myself. I HAVE TO LIFT and to FIX MY EYES ON HIM, rather then get caught up into circumstances, or fix my eyes on the tasks I haven’t done or still have to do.
I decided the change has to start in the morning. Now, Andy and I read the Psalms (almost) every morning and then we pray what we just read. How powerful is it to pray Gods word. We start to focus on Gods goodness, his faithfulness, and his sovereignty.
I also started again to read Gods word with passion with a longing that HE will speak to me. There are so many tribes in this world who have no bible and when they get one, they cherish it, they treasure it.
The best book I read lately which really touched me is called: 'Secret believers' written by Brother Andrew. The book writes about Muslims who find Jesus Christ and they give everything for him. Ramadan (Fasting time for Muslims) begins in three days: August 11, 2010 and ends on September 10th, let us pray that God will give them vision and dreams. To find out what to pray during Ramadan click on http://www.30-days.net/
Just another thought how to fix our eyes on Him is fasting … some questions I'd asked myself: "How often do I do it? Why don’t I do it? What hinders me?"

My prayer personal and for the body of Christ is: "Lord let me be a true follower of you, burning and passionate for you. Willing to lay my life down for you, because you laid it down for me. Lord, you gave all - this is why I want to give everything I have back to you. I am blessed to be a blessing. Jesus, you are coming back soon, let me be aware and alert. Help me Holy Spirit that my lamp is filled with you, with your light, with your presence. Let people see that you live, because you shine through me. I want to be filled with the FRUIT of the spirit. There are no fruits, there is only one fruit, the fruit of the HOLY Spirit. Thank you Holy Spirit for living in me. Thank you God for hearing my prayer. Amen "
