Much rain ~~~ Viel Regen

We had a lot of rain lately. People around here say that the summer has past … I am thinking: What about all my summer dresses I’ve brought.
The weather this week has defiantly changed from being warm and sunny, to being colder and rainy (like English weather, good for my husband who loves it). I have already my sweaters on and he still runs around in his t-shirts.
I thought what the bible tells us about rain: God is the one who shuts or open heaven to let it rain.
Psalm 135:7: He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; he sends lightning with rain and brings out the wind form his storehouses.
Proverbs 27:15
A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day;
Proverbs 28:3
A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.
James 5:17+18
Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
This was our view from our kichen window (below). The garden had big puddles.

Below: We went for a walk after the rain had stopped, you can see that the water level at this little lake rose quite high. Der kleine See konnte mit dem vielen Regen gar nicht umgehen. Das Wasser ist um einige Zentimeter gestiegen.
