New apartment

On the 15th we signed the contract for our apartment. The Proprietor said, that the apartment will get painted and cleaned before we move in. The official move in Date would be the 1st of September, but everything would be ready for us on the 25th.

The day after we sent him the signed contract, we also asked him for his bank details. We heard nothing from him, we tried to call, to email, to text, without any result.

Around the 20th, we looked down to see if the work had already started, but no…. We thought, ok, we still have a few days to go.
But when we walked down this Monday, the 27th - it still had not been started. So we called the Proprietor. To our surprise he even answered, but gave his normal answer: “I am in a meeting, I will call you back.“ This happened now the third time but I guess by now, you know it, he never calls back.

The phone call must have helped though, because when we went down a few hours later, two men had put some furniture in and started to mop the floor…. painting, not a sign. My big question was: Why would you put the furniture in before and then start painting. I guess I still need to learn a lot.
