Our Christmas

Christmas day we started with Pancakes and in the evening I made brownies (somebody had send to us :-), which we ate while we watched Christmas movies. Glad the internet worked.

Here in Haiti many people use Christmas lights even though they are poor, I guess it is the American influence.
The 24th we spent with the 28 kids in the orphanage. They had a Christmas party, so they were all dressed up. To the party were invited the person who is responsible for them. I guess it was good for the kids to be connected with family or wider family again.
The kids gave a few presentations: some played the flute, some did a dance, other once gave a little speech. I painted the girls (and house mother) finger- and toenails. They were so excited! I think it made their day!

Tomorrow we will be going to the DR, because our visa is due beginning of January.

We wish you all a happy New Year and have a good New Years Eve.
God bless you!
