There are not many days you can say that you made the day
for 50 + people.
We had the opportunity to take out all 28 orphanage kids,
plus the house parents and their kids as well.
We had to wait until we had a team from the US, who were
willing to help J.
All the kids fitted into the 15 seater passenger van, were
they excited. The team piled into cars and our pick-up and we were off.
Pastor Ronel had arranged with a friend of his to use a private
beach, we travelled an hour and half, with stops on the way as the kids couldn’t
wait.
We arrived to a nice quite beach, and then the kids got out the bus and had to be given instructions. We also prayed and sung together. Just asking for God's protection for the day.
They were so excited to be out of the orphanage, this was their first outing where they were all together in 18 months.
The mission team were a great help, as keeping a eye on all the kids was a demanding job, especially when some got out of their depth. Many drank the water and had a good time splashing around.
A great day was had by all, we even got a little sun, as normally we try and stay out of it as it burns so fast. The kids didn't need sunscreen at all. Lucky them.
A few palm trees gave us some shade.
Every kid was in the water. They had such a blast. Praise God for all his goodness. Even a day later, they wanted to go again.
