Oil Leak

View this email in your browser It all started very slowly as a drip on the driveway Have you ever been in a situation where something starts very slowly, but then rapidly deteriorates until it stops you working normally? Welcome to our steering box, with a small leak It deteriorated so quickly, that a 5 mile trip emptied the reservoir. Time to visit the mechanic's training college The apprentices were pleased as they had never worked on a steering box before. We open the box and ball bearings fell to the floor, scratching our heads for the next 30 minutes trying to work out how these ball bearings fitted. It was a great learning curve for all of us, we all feel as though we are specialists now. Removing the old corroded mashed up seal, we thought it would just be a simple replacement seal, but it turned out to be more. After several attempts the box still leaks oil, we replaced the box with another second hand box, amazing it leaked in the same place, we are waiting for another second hand part to arrive from the capital. Please pray that this will work :-) We are walking everywhere, good for the fitness program, although it is 30oC at the moment.
