It has started to rain but the wells are dry and the reservoir is low

The reservoir which services our city is seriously low, despite the first rains of the season. Rationing is in full swing with water only coming through the pipes once every three days.

From the edge of the water to the side of the reservoir is now at 20 metres in some places.
I was called out to repair a broken down car at the side of the road, when I looked around a field next to the house just went up in flames. Everything is so dry from 5 months without rain.
Sorry it is hard to see in the photo, but we had the privilege to attend the Queens Birthday party at the British Embassy in Conakry. If you look hard enough you can make out that the cup cakes are arranged in the Union Flag, with sparklers as candles.

Prayer Points:
  1. Pray for all those sitting their exams, pray that they can concentrate as many are fasting for Ramadan.
  2. Pray for our house situation, as of last week our landlord has asked if the rent can be raised by 25%. We have told him that if he insists on raising the rent we would possibly look for another house.
  3. Praise that the rains have started, but it will take a few weeks of steady rain to fill the reservoir and wells. Pray for those who are constantly looking for water.
