Genius Ideas

We were in a village and saw this design to cook the food, it was made to consume a lot less wood. Now upon our return, I asked if there was anyone in town interested in creating cookers that consume less wood. I was introduced to the inventor. Now Mr Barry caught the idea and got his guys to start work. This above is his first thought. The pot sits on top the crosspiece at the top as the three pieces of wood burn below. He didn't stop there, then he added a chamber on the top to evacuate the fumes and smoke. He tells me he has problems sleeping as he is always thinking of what to do next. Now 60% of the local fruit rots before it can be consumed. I put this to him, so we built a solar fruit dryer. The Mango season is just upon us, I will let you know how we get on drying the fruit and if people will eat dried fruit.  Now clean water is a problem the world over, so we built a solar water distiller. This purifies the water as it condenses on the glass and then rolls down the glass and into the bottle. Unfortunately this is not very efficient and we could only get 1/2 a litre a day.  Mr Barry had watched a film set in the USA. He said he wanted a BBQ. So we built a BBQ from an old compressor air tank. Ready for those steaks :-) Prayer Points: 1. Pray that all these ideas will come to help the people of Guinea in some way. 2. Pray for our relationship as Mr Barry and Victor spend a lot of time working on projects. 3. Mr Barry is having a demonstration evening for local government officials, he has asked Victor to take part. Pray that good contacts will be made.
