Eye clinic

 

Eye Clinic February saw the restart of the eye care project. We started small only selling 30 tickets as we want to give a good service and not be overwhelmed with clients. Well at 9am when we were ready for the start, there were already 20 people lined up and we had planned to go to noon.   Picture quality is poor as I was taking the picture from inside the clinic After registration the clients enter the clinic for the consultation. This particular lady wanted reading glasses. Therefore, a reading chart is used as you can see in the picture. For those unable to read roman script we use a simple three fingers up, down or left or right. Everyone does well with this method. Victors role is to select the glasses after the consultation and then fit them to the clients face. In the picture are the tools of the trade.

Well after selling 30 tickets, we fitted 43 clients with new glasses. We have now planned clinics every month, but the word is out. We have been inundated with demands to hold eye clinics all over the region. The villages are in particular need, so we are seeing if along with other teaching projects that we can reach more people in need of seeing clearer, with the help of a pair of glasses. Pray that as we seek to serve more people that they will see the heart of a loving father and ask more questions.
