We arrived safe

Dear Family and Friends

After travelling yesterday all day, we arrived here safe and sound. We were almost the first to leave the airplane, because of that we were one of the first to go through Immigration, which went very well. After that, we showed our Yellow Fever stamps to another person, so they were very happy.

When we came into the baggage hall, we found 2 trollys, smile, got them very quickly and then we saw our suitcases on the band arriving. They all arrived still cling filmed. The tricky thing was going through the customs, it did help a bit to tell them that we are working with SAM, but one officer decided that she would like a little gift..... So she pulled us over and asked us to open the first suitcase she saw. Andy took the cling film off, and was trying to figure out the code to open the case. I think this took too long for her and she probably saw that she doesn't get anything from us, so she decided to let us go without looking in the case.

Outside it was very hot and humid, it was almost walking against a wall. We were picked up and went to our accommodation. It is very simple, but it works. I will tell you in the next few days more about it. Hopefully with pictures.

Today we just finished our first team meeting in french, oh la la, but I guess it went quite well. I think we will have a team meeting every Wednesday, so we will write again next week.

Thank you soooo much for all your prayers and text messages. I can honestly say, I think because of your prayers it went yesterday so smoothly! God must have sent his angels before us. I was praying that God will close their eyes, so we can just walk through customes, and he answered your and our prayers so well. Praise God! I am very thankful for that, because many of you knew how many worries I had walking through the airport, picking up the suitecases, finding a trolley (God gave us two!) and then carrying our stuff to the car....

I guess, this showed me again, with my God, I don't really have to worry about ANYTHING! He knows it all and he truly goes before us, like he promises in his word!Again, thanks to you all. Things still have to be figured out cellphone etc. But we will write to you next week. Blessings and hug
