Our housemaids wedding

Those of you who are married! Do you remember your wedding day?
Did you have family and friends around you? Most weddings are a family event with happiness, love and the odd present or two.
Our housemaid will be married on the 27th of November, although this will be a day of happiness and love, it will also be a day of sadness. Our housemaid and her fiancé are converts; she converted in Sierra Leone when a Christian prayed for her healing from an illness, as she regained her health she started asking questions, later she gave her life to the Lord. At that time she was married and had a son, after her conversion when her husband and family found out, the trouble started. She was ostracized by her family and thrown out by her husband, who kept the son and told her he wanted a divorce. She was persecuted until she left her family, son and country as she moved across the border to Guinea. Several years later she met her future husband at a church for converts.
Yesterday she was introduced to the church and invited the church to the wedding, (sounds just like our wedding) but I wonder what the day will be like. She has tried to invite her family but they still find it difficult to understand why she left her maternal faith. We don’t know too much about her future husband only that his family has refused to attend the wedding point blank.
Please pray for this couple as they prepare to take their vows in front of the congregation and in front of God. Also for the church who have decided to take on the role of the parents.
