Actually in Mali, you could see different people have TVs which they watch in their little sheds, and neighbors come and watch with them. This is more rare in Guinea. I think because here is less electricity, if there is electricity, music is always played very loudly in the evening until passed midnight.
This was the reason we actually stayed last weekend on an american compound. We enjoyed the warm water, there are no barking dogs around, no loud music, the only thing I could here was the mosque, but not very loud. Praise God for a quite place.
