Today we joined the new trainer, Rousseau. We
haven’t seen him teach before, so we were excited to see how he will teach and what
he will be teaching about. After 2 ½ hour drive we finally arrive at our
destination. People are already waiting, for Haiti this is quite a surprise for
us. We find out, why they are on time, they tell us we were expected 1 hour earlier.
This verifies that even people who speak the same language, have
difficulties understanding each other.
Anyway, after we arrived, the teaching starts. Rousseau asks people to write their names down, so he knows them next time by name. Good for him. The teaching is good and interactive. He is unwrapping with them the question: what is poverty for you? When do we say people are rich?
Some participants are eager to voice their opinion; others need to be invited to speak up.
The 3 hours were always interrupted by the very loud noise of a machine working outside. We were just amazed, how much they could understand with the background noise. Or did they just pretend J we will never know.
After the training session, everybody pilled in the car, to get dropped off on the way home. We were glad to arrive safely at home. Thanks God again for all your protection.
