The changing colours in
Haiti. Haitians were all out for Brazil with green and yellow flags everywhere.
After their disappointing defeat to Germany the flags changed to blue and white
for Argentina.
We were walking around during the final, when Germany scored a goal. Haitians were totally enthusiastic about Argentina, so when they were dancing around and cheering, we thought that Argentina had scored their first goal. Until we arrive in a restaurant where we could actually see the end of the game, we didn't know that it was Germany who had scored a goal.
After the match we saw groups running around partying like Argentina had won. There was even a marching band celebrating Germany's win pass us.
I was wondering on one point if I should take the flag down in the car, but I left it hanging, presenting the German flag (which was knitted for me) proudly.
